ESG’s radiochemistry team provides expert analytical support for decommissioning, demolition and characterisation programmes by providing accurate results, on time. Additionally, ESG is one of only a small number of HSE approved providers of bioassay services as part of a dosimetry service to monitor the safety of radiation workers within the UK nuclear industry.
Supporting the environmental sector
In the environmental sector we measure radiation levels in water, soil and vegetation, for radioactivity levels including providing data for the Environment Agency monitoring programme: Radioactivity in Food and the Environment. The majority of the laboratory procedures undertaken are accredited by UKAS to ISO17025.
Supporting the food/drinking water sector
ESG provide a full range of radiochemical analysis for utility companies to ensure potable water meets drinking water regulations. Furthermore, food matrices are tested and certificates of analysis are provided to confirm radiation levels in foods for import/export.
