Noise and Vibration Monitoring
The potential for nuisance due to noise and vibration caused by construction activity is a cause for concern to both the public and local authorities.
Noise Monitoring
As a practical and inexpensive means of monitoring the sound levels induced during piling and other site related activities taking place close to occupied structures or designated areas of sensitivity ESG are able to provide single noise monitoring systems capable of assessing the sound levels across a designated area for:
- Meeting BS EN 60651 and BS 6698 to Type 1
- Measuring and storing Leq, Lmax, Lmin and Peak dB
- Measuring and storing L10 and L90 plus 5 other percentile levels
- 25 – 125dB(A) in 2 ranges
ESG also deploys the Vibrock V801 seismograph as a practical and inexpensive means of monitoring the vibrations induced during piling and other site related activities.
We provide single or multiple monitoring systems capable of assessing the groundbourne vibrations across a designated area with the following features:
- Tri-axial geophone sensor
- Option for second tri-axial sensor
- Records Peak Particle Velocity, PPV
- Single range from 0.1mm/s to 200mm/s
- Memory for 250 events (or 20 days monitoring)
- Instant readout of memory events on LCD
