Inclinometer Monitoring
ESG's Materials Testing Division undertakes inclinometer monitoring using a technique designed to be used within casings inserted in grouted boreholes or cast inside concrete piles or slurry walls or fixed to steel H piles and sheet piling
The purpose of inclinometer monitoring is to observe lateral movements within structures or strata and assess whether remedial works are required to subdue any such movements. A Geokon inclinometer probe is used to take measurements of lateral earth movements such as might occur in instable slopes, dam and roadway embankments or deep excavations.
Data Processing And Report
The recorded data is processed using GTILT software so that we can provide accurate graphs of incremental lateral movement with respect to the initial base readings. Further graphs are available for analysing cumulative movement and absolute position.
