Consolidation Testing
Three types of consolidation testing are provided using our in-house Oedometers, Hydraulic Cells (Rowe) and Triaxial Cells:
Oedometer Consolidation
Our Oedometer consolidation tests are used for undisturbed or recompacted specimen (s) to maximum particle size 4mm and nominally 75mm diameter for consolidation pressures upto 3200kPa. We also have high load machines capable of acheiving pressures up to 40MPa.
Hydraulic Cell (Rowe)
Our Rowe cells deliver accurate results for undisturbed or recompacted specimens to maximum particle size 5mm. These cells allow measurement of pore water pressure during consolidation and a variety of drainage conditions.
Triaxial Cell
Isotropic or anisotropic consolidation of specimens up to 100mm diameter x 100mm high with measurement of pore water pressure and volume change.
