VCON3 Standard Contamination Package 3 - Soils
This package is a useful screening tool for site investigations, particularly where little or no information is available on previous historical site activities.
The parameters within this analytical package are based on the Contaminated Land Exposure Assessment Model (CLEA), and associated guidance. It includes the metals for which no SGV have yet been issued.
The data obtained from this package may be supplemented with further information and used in conjunction with the CLEA model to undertake qualitative and quantitative Risk Assessments. This package also includes Total Petroleum Hydrocarbons and can be supplemented with other organic and inorganic parameters as required.
Full interpretative comments can be provided on analysis results, outlining potential limitations to intended end use and/or alternative end uses for the material, waste disposal classifications and potential hazards to known receptors (e.g. the environment, human health, plants and building materials).
