The monitoring and testing of the workplace environment provides valuable information about the likely effects construction and other operations can have on people and their immediate and wider working environment.

Environmental Monitoring

ESG hold a comprehensive stock of environmental dust, gas and vapour monitoring equipment for pre-development baseline studies and site impact monitoring.

These can either be hired for site use or alternatively we can deploy our fully qualified field technicians and occupational hygienists to monitor the workplace and advise on suitable control measures. A wide range of techniques can be utilised including:

• Adhesive Strip Directional Gauges
• BS Directional Gauges
• PM10 Gravimetric Samplers
• TOPAS Real Time PM10 Monitors
• Organics and inorganics pumped and diffusion tubes.

Samples are accurately analysed in our UKAS accredited laboratories, where in addition to deposition rate, we are able to provide dust speciation using the latest Scanning Electron Microscopy method.

In addition, we also undertake radon surveys and analysis and offer advice on sampling methodolgy.
