Construction Safety
At ESG our CDM Coordinators (Construction Design and Management) are highly experienced in Construction Safety, having worked on numerous projects including retail, social housing, health and education sectors. We take a hands on, risk focussed approach to construction health and safety and provide practical advice and solutions.
In addition to the CDM Co-ordination role we also offer innovative solutions to satisfy the duties placed upon clients and other members of the project team for non-notifiable projects and a fully independent site inspection service which can be linked to our truly innovative contractor approval and rating system for your organisation, producing a real-time picture of your contractor’s performance and the key risk profile for your projects.
The construction industry remains a key industry sector where improvements in health and safety are considered to be urgently needed. The Construction (Design & Management) Regs 2007 which comprise a series of more explicit duties and a regulatory focus away from a bureaucratic approach towards practical control of risks commensurate to the complexity of a given project provides just that opportunity.
The CDM Co-ordinator’s primary function is to act as the Client’s key project advisor in respect of construction health and safety risk management, and manage the flow of health and safety information between clients, designers and contractors.
