A Royal Engagement for ESG

We are delighted to announce that Her Royal Highness, Princess Anne will visit the Weymouth Relief Road project today and Operations Manager Darren Thorowgood, has been invited to meet her on behalf of ESG.

The Weymouth Relief Road project is an important part of the plans to facilitate the sailing events at the 2012 Olympics.

The Princess Royal will have coach tour around the site and will then meet some of those based there, in a marquee in the car park. Known for her ‘down to earth approach’, she has specifically asked to meet people who are doing the actual work and for them not to ‘dress up’.

As a member of the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games and the Royal Patron of WISE (an organisation that encourages young women to pursue careers in science, engineering and construction), we hope that Princess Anne finds her visit both interesting and rewarding.
