Environmental Scientifics Group increase asbestos management services

Environmental Scientifics Group (ESG), the UK’s leading company in Environmental Compliance and geotechnical specialist is pleased to announce that it has extended its asbestos-related services by opening its fourth bulk analysis laboratory.

Situated in Doncaster, the laboratory is UKAS accredited and offers bulk materials analysis to compliment the existing asbestos services of asbestos surveying and project management of asbestos abatement work.

Since opening in mid-January, Andrew Elsby, National Project manager says “our new laboratory enhances our range of services. The eight staff at Doncaster are employed mostly in a technical capacity as surveyors, analysts and project managers. Together we have over 30 years’ industry experience and this means we can offer local expertise and improved services to our existing customers based in the region.”

In addition to supporting existing business, the laboratory has also welcomed several new customers since opening.

“Thanks to a combination of our knowledge and processes, such as the 24-hour turnaround for single samples, we have won a number of new contracts. This includes one which requires 600-700 samples a month. A new customer of this scale is a significant achievement for us and demonstrates why ESG is often the supplier of choice for asbestos management” concludes Andrew.
