Soil Dynamics and Seismic Hazard Surveys

Seismic hazard can be defined as the probability of exceeding, during a certain period, a specified degree of ground shaking at a given location. In order to assess the overall risk, the hazard can be combined with the vulnerability of the facility to suffer a specified failure or reduction in serviceability.

CL Voelcker has a long history of consultative involvement and a wide range of field-based experience in seismic hazard and related fields. We have experience of short intensive studies carried out to a tight time schedule as well as detailed and comprehensive projects taking several years to complete. Throughout our work, close control over data collection, precise data processing and quality report presentation has helped to maintain technical standards of the highest order.

Design codes

We are familiar with the wide variety of analytical procedures, design codes and regulations that have been formulated around the world and are experienced at presenting the results to public review bodies.
